Forest Research and Training Centre
Introduction
The Forest Research and Training Centre (FRTC) in Nepal advances forestry practices and environmental conservation through cutting-edge research. We improve forest management, biodiversity conservation, and sustainable resource use. Our work supports policymakers and guides community-based forest management, ensuring ecosystem preservation for carbon sequestration, water regulation, and wildlife habitat.
Collaborating with national and international partners, we employ a multidisciplinary approach to research and training. Our programs include capacity-building workshops, field-based training, and disseminating research findings. By integrating traditional knowledge with modern science, FRTC enhances the resilience and sustainability of Nepal’s forests, benefiting local communities and the environment.
